So I finally took the plunge. I went for my L's.
As I'm over 25, it's only 50 hours of practice until I'm getting a license.
Fear me.

Things are going OK. Thanks for asking.
Doctors Orders are pretty clear:
I have the greatest friends in the world. Just when I'm feeling down, some London lasses send me a picture telling me I'm missed.
Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
Feeling strangly low at the moment. Which is weird, because I don't think I've ever fel so... pumped and excited about the potential of life.
I'm lost. I'm skint. I'm inbetween things, but it really is a lot of fun. You should try it.
Still, I'm open to suggestions about what I should do with my life now. Any thoughts?
There are some other posts, and some draft things to clear up... but all you have to know at the moment is that I leave the UK in 10 hours.
It's been real
It may have escaped your attention that two great stalwarts of LCH.Clearnet are departing not only the company, but the country, for distant shores. Darryn Clark (South African fix your desktop man - LCH veteran of 6.5 years, departing for the slopes in France) and Kristian Peacocke (no one knows what he does, but he gets to talk to a lot of people - LCH veteran of 5 (on and off) years, departing for the beach in Australia) are leaving you!
They are going very soon.
Like really, really, really soon.
And now John Bazley is going at the same time!
It is custom at this time for people to come together to mourn this loss, or celebrate the fact that one less person will be stealing the oxygen that is, by all rights, yours. This poses a great problem. What are arch-IT rivals to do when they are leaving at the same time? Contrary to popular thinking, we are not going to have a "leaving do challenge" to see who can get the most people, nor are we going to follow the (very popular) second choice of having three leaving dos in a three day run. Your livers wouldn't forgive us (and nor would any directors).
Darryn, John and Kristian have joined forces. We’re having a leaving do the like of which has never been seen before.
So it’s a three-way leaving do taking place on Thursday 30th November. It is customary for Kristian to remind everyone that Thursday is the new Friday at this point, so attendance is compulsory. Not only that, but it’s taking place when November turns to December, and so this will mark the official beginning of the silly season.

The piercing is gone. It feels strange.
I resigned from my job yesterday.
I am now semi-dole-scum.
Those of you who have seen me recently may (or may not, I mean... it's sort of depends on how observant you are or aren't) have noticed that I'm slightly distracted. This is because I am thinking of quitting my rather nice job, and moving from the UK to Australia to be unemployed.
And possibly miserable.
